The place was really cool with all different kinds of exhibits. One of the coolest things we got to do was experiencing the 1906 and 1989 earthquakes in a simulated house. We walked upstairs to the observation deck where it was still raining but still worth it for the view.
We knew the weather was going to be horrible the first two days here but we decided we were going to make the best of it. We headed over to the Golden Gate Bridge Park because I knew it had an aquarium with penguins which to us sounds like the perfect day right there. The line was ridiculously long to get in so we decided to just start wandering around to see where we ended up... Just so we are all clear Rocco pretty much took every single picture today. All of the nice pictures live on my camera while the really blurry and stupid ones live on my phone! We pretty much had the entire park to ourself seeing as it rained the entire day. We only came across one couple from Israel and some dogs with their owners the entire time we were there. The line cleared for the Academy of Sciences and of course our first stop was the penguins. They are the funniest creatures to watch. The entire front row consisted of kids under the age of six and then Rocco & I. We did't care that we were blocking the view for some of the tiny humans. We wanted to see them just as much as they did! Just like when I was in Disney World four years ago and I was on a mission to see the princesses, get the hell back in your stroller and wait your turn kid! The place was really cool with all different kinds of exhibits. One of the coolest things we got to do was experiencing the 1906 and 1989 earthquakes in a simulated house. We walked upstairs to the observation deck where it was still raining but still worth it for the view. My main goal for going to Golden Gate Park was to go to the Japanese Tea Gardens. It was absolutely beautiful and it had a lot to see but it was not worth $8 per person to get in. Rocco and I decided that it was worth at least $5 of fun! We walked around and then had Japanese cookies and miso soup at tiny little cafe in the park. Despite the rain it was so much fun just walking around and getting lost for a little while. I have yet to see the bridge so am I really even in San Francisco? Here's to the next three day of warmer and drier weather!
