I recently looked back at my last post and the date was August 30th! At that point I had plans to write about all the new shows that were about to premiere and to focus a lot on growing this blog. Well much to my surprise I was given the opportunity to intern at an online magazine called Hollywood Life for the fall semester and I jumped at the chance. Between my internship, school and everything else in between I neglected the things I really loved doing. One of them is this blog and writing articles for BuzzFeed.
During my time at Hollywood Life I was the fashion intern where I quickly learned that the fashion world was not for me. At all. I envy people who can put together fabulous outfits no problem but no one should take fashion advice from me. My idea of giving an outfit a bit of an "edge" is to throw a leather jacket or combat boots on with any look. I was actually quoted in a real fashion blog which I found hysterical. Seriously, do not take fashion advice from me. One of my first assignments was New York Fashion week where I realized that people really really love fashion. I, however, swooped in and out and took as many free bottles of Smart Water as I could fit in my bag. I was a fish out of water and the entire time all I could think of was that scene in the Sex and The City movie. Unlike Carrie's front row seat, I stood in the back and watched the show standing on my toes.
A big thank you to everyone who continues to share my posts no matter how ridiculous they are. Yes, I'm talking about my recent 'Bachelor' post on Buzzfeed! You are all awesome!
Best,
Lauren
