Woke up- 3:30 a.m.
Ate a bacon, egg, and cheese and listened to a drunk girl in the deli rant about how she is 27 and still can't get into grad school It was a lot to take in at this hour. -4:00 a.m.
Got to the airport and checked in- 5:00 a.m.
Watched the sunrise without yet having one cup of coffee. Fun Fact: There are no Starbucks at the JFK terminals- 5:45 a.m. (It was really nice but I don't need this to be a regular event!)
Took off for San Francisco - 7 a.m.
Fisherman's Wharf was a tourist trap and while at home I can't stand when people are just wandering around aimlessly trying to figure out where to get the bus we were doing the same thing today. And let me tell you, this place is way too relaxed compared to New York. I'm used to running everywhere I go even if I really don't have anywhere to be. Everyone walks slow and stops right in the middle of the sidewalk which is the worst thing you can do. I know this might sound stupid but this was my biggest pet peeve today. Also when we took the street car I was right at the door and ready to push everyone down like I was in the middle of rush hour. No one cared and everyone was patient. It's a whole new world over here let me tell ya.
The best part about Fisherman's Wharf was walking down to Pier 39 where the sea lions lay out on the docks all day. They began showing up there in the early 90s and have become a San Francisco staple. We watched them for probably a half hour and laughed the entire time.
