Happy Hump Day kids! Whether your week is going good or bad here are some little bits of inspiration to help you get through the rest of the week! Love the inspiration and want some more? Just click on the photo and it will send you straight to the Instagram page. No one can have too much inspirational typography on their Instagram. Well, I know I can't! Now I know the last picture is of a puppy but come on...its the cutest dog! Not only have I recently had an obsession with typography Instagram accounts but I also have a huge obsession with people who devote entire Instagram accounts to their animals. If anything, I hope this dog made you smile!

With the Olympics in full swing the internet has taken advantage of turning the games into a viral video opportunity. The latest viral video to come out of the Olympics is USA pairs figure skating duo Meryl David and Charlie White skating to 'Drunk In Love'. No they did not do their routine to this song, but someone put the latest Beyonce track over their graceful routine and needless to say it syncs up perfectly. I am all for Beyonce skating routines in the Olympics. They should definitely incorporate that after the long program! To keep with the Olympic theme this week, Netflix released a new documentary 30 for 30: The Price of Gold. The documentary takes a look back on the biggest controversy in Olympic history surrounding figure skater Tonya Harding's involvement with the attacks on Nancy Kerrigan who was her competition in 1994. Footage from the attack along with press conferences and interviews with people who covered the story as it unfolded were included in the documentary. And honestly there is nothing better then 40 something Harding acting even more white trash then she did back in the day. It was announced earlier this week that SNL alum Fred Armisen will be the band leader for the upcoming Late Night with Seth Meyers band. While this choice is one that no one really saw coming, it is cool to see past SNL cast members working together. Fred was always a fan favorite and is sure to do well on the upcoming show. The cast of Full House can not keep out of the news these days! 90s kids rejoice because DJ and Steve are coming to a televisions screen near you. Everyone's favorite 90s couple reunited to play new neighbors on the ABC show The Neighbors. Really creative. These kids don't look bad at all. With all of the Full House reunions taking place recently, it is only a matter of time before the entire cast is together again.
Monday nights mean one thing: How I Met Your Mother. The show that has kept America guessing who Ted Mosby married for the past nine years is currently in its final season. A final season means that the HIMYM farewell tour is currently underway. This week marked the 200th episode of the series, and the cast stopped by The Talk on CBS to talk about the episode and the past nine years. While there were tears, there were moments that reminded us just why this cast is the best in the business. When Jason Segel was asked if he gets tired of being asked who the mother is, he supplied the audience with a classic story. He told the women of The Talk that for the past few years in interviews when he is asked who he wants the mother to be he says Hilary Clinton. And the response he got from Hilary should remind everyone why she is one of the coolest people in politics. No matter how old you are you have probably seen every episode of Full House. While the show has been off the air for nearly twenty years, that does not stop the cast from having reunions. Their latest reunion took place on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon. During the sketch Bob Saget, John Stamos, and Dave Coulier reprised their roles as Danny, Jesse and Joey, and tucked Jimmy into bed. They all looked old and no longer look like the nerdy dad, the hot uncle, and Ranger Joe. It's funny to see how they would all look now if the show was still on the air, but lets all be grateful that it's not. Some things need to stay in the 90s. Jonah Hill hosted SNL this past week, and his monologue supplied the audience with the best celebrity cameo of the year thus far. To everyones surprise, Leonard DiCaprio came out of hiding to support his buddy Jonah. Jonah explained to Leo that he is nervous about hosting, and then asked Leo if they could do that thing they always do that helps calm Jonah down. Leo of course told him yes, and we all learned what these two really do when they are vacationing together. And no its not swimming in the ocean with topless models, thats just a cover. They reenact the most classic and romantic scene in movie history. Sorry Kate Winslet, Jonah and Leo do it better!
“So, do it. Decide. Is this the life you want to live? Is this the person you want to love? Is this the best you can be? Can you be stronger? Kinder? More Compassionate? Decide. Breathe in. Breathe out and decide” This quote is from one of my favorite shows Grey's Anatomy. After much speculation Ellen Pompeo and Patrick Dempsey signed a contract this week to stay on the show for two more years. A reason for celebration! Her name is Morgan Murphy and yes she does looks like a stoned version of Ginger from As Told By Ginger. Murphy is a comedian who rubs elbows with other unknown comedy greats such as John Mulaney, Nick Kroll, Aziz Ansari etc. This week on Netflix I discovered Murphy's first stand up comedy special Morgan Murphy: Irish Goodbye. Her dry whit and sarcastic approach to children, drugs, planned parenthood, her own parents, and alcoholism will have you laughing and relating to her views during her hour special. Also follow her on Twitter for other random thoughts like, "What if Jesus was one of those 'don't fuss over my birthday' type of guys?!?" Now Im not the biggest Drake fan in the world, but the man killed it on SNL this past week. Not only did he put on one of the best monologues of the season, but his impressions of A-Rod, Kat Williams, Lil Wayne, and Jay-Z were spot on. Wheelchair Jimmy should have stayed Wheelchair Jimmy forever! In other SNL news this week, Lorne Michaels announced who will be taking Seth Meyer's coveted chair on the Weekend Update segment of the long running show. No it's not a cast member, but head writer Colin Jost. Jost was made head writer back in 2012 and is a Harvard man. On top of all of that he is fine as hell and apparently dates Rashida Jones. Guys got it going for him, and I can't wait to see him on my television screen every Saturday starting March 1st. Partition is my favorite song off of Beyonce's new album, but this picture made me feel a lot better about myself. While Queen Bey may be doin' the dirty in the back of a limo, we are all Mia Thermopolis. We need that partition to keep people from seeing just how unsexy we all are. Am I right? |
